Legal Management Consultant John Olmstead To Participate In First Annual Solo and Small Law Firm Conference

Olmstead & Associates today announced that Dr. John W. Olmstead, president of the legal management consulting group, will speak on the topic of “Strategic Planning: Something Your Practice Cannot Thrive Without” and faciliate a strategic planning workshop at the First Annual Solo and Small Firm Conference, hosted by the General Practice, Solo, and Small Firm Section of the Illinois State Bar Association.

The three-day conference is being held October 7-9, 2005, at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, Illinois. The conference will provide a blend of outstanding national speakers and state bar practitioners.

Dr. Olmstead has more than 37 years of experience in law firm management and working with other professional service firms. He is president of Olmstead & Associates, a legal management consulting firm based in St. Louis. He also is Editor-In-Chief of The Lawyers Competitive Edge: The Journal of Law Office Economics and Management, published by Thomson West. His doctoral work in Business Administration concentrated on organizational development and marketing. He has lectured for the Association of Legal Administrators, St. Louis Metropolitan Bar Association, Missouri Trial Attorneys, IBM, Illinois State University, Illinois State Bar Association, Solo-Map CPA Association of St. Louis and many other national, state, and local bar associations.
