Olmstead & Associates, a St. Louis, Mo.-based legal management consulting firm, today announced that its  Dr. John W. Olmstead, has recently been re-appointed as a member of the Standing Committee on Law Office Management and Economics of Illinois State Bar Association.

Olmstead was invited to participate as a member of the Standing Committee on Law Office Management and Economics for Fiscal Year 2011-2012 to lend his expertise in the field towards the works of the committee and his creativity related to Law Practice Management, which is the mission the committee is charged with.

Dr. Olmstead has more than 30 years of experience in law firm management and working with other professional service firms. He is president of Olmstead & Associates, a legal management-consulting firm based in St. Louis. He also is Editor-in-Chief of The Lawyers Competitive Edge: The Journal of Law Office Economics and Management, published by West Group. His doctoral work in Business Administration concentrated on organizational behavior and marketing. He has lectured for the Association of Legal Administrators, St. Louis Metropolitan Bar Association, Missouri Trial Attorneys, IBM, Illinois State University, Illinois State Bar Association, Solo-Map CPA Association of St. Louis and many other state and local bar associations.
