Olmstead & Associates today announced that Dr. John W. Olmstead, president of the legal management consulting group, will be a presenter at an upcoming program “Bridge The Gap” hosted by the Young Lawyers Division of the Illinois State Bar Association. This is part of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Law Ed Series.
The conference is being held on January 7, 2005 in Chicago, Illinois, at the Illinois State Bar Association Regional Office. Olmstead will present “Tips For Balancing Your Personal and Professional Life.” Other speakers will speak on topics pertinent to young lawyers starting out in practice.
Dr. Olmstead has more than 34 years of experience in law firm management and working with other professional service firms. He is president of Olmstead & Associates, a legal management-consulting firm based in St. Louis. He also is Editor-in-Chief of The Lawyers Competitive Edge: The Journal of Law Office Economics and Management, published by West Group. His doctoral work in Business Administration concentrated on organizational behavior and marketing. He has lectured for the Association of Legal Administrators, St. Louis Metropolitan Bar Association, Missouri Trial Attorneys, IBM, Illinois State University, Illinois State Bar Association, Solo-Map CPA Association of St. Louis and many other state and local bar associations.
